I agree with you that reading is a passionate part of my life too but that plays no part in making my life insufficient or not!
It's really awesome when you can taking something you love, books/reading, and turn it into something you can do for a living and be surrounded by every day.
I really like your blog, definitely going to go take a look around now :)
I dont agree with the entire quote either, reading is a passionate part of my life as well!
Thats a great point you bring up about reading groups and book clubs. Through these groups, we find and share our passion for books with others. Its a wonderful thing.
I had to read the quote twice to make sure I understood it correctly. I agree with Bluestocking, it was a ridiculous quote!
I don't get where this author was going. I think it's all high-faluten' nonsense.
Here is mine
That is a great opening paragraph! I hope the rest of the book lives up to it! Enjoy!
Looks like an interesting book!

What a great start to a book. It catches the attention right away!
I also want this... but am worried it won't live up to Pi. BTW, I am the pres of the Charlotte chapter of the WNBA and I was so happy to see the Great Group Reads logo and link up on your guys' home page! Thanks! If, come October, I can be of any help promoting NRGM or GGR or if you could use any content from WNBA, please let me know. I'd be happy to help.
What an opening - and in the middle of the Second World War! I feel sad for the poor dead angel though!
Thanks for stopping by my teaser! My link is here:
