I have B&V at home, but haven't read anything by LaMott before. My find is at The Crowded Leaf.
I was so excited to learn that I had won this month's book by Adriana Trigiani and started it on Valentime's Day...how appropriate! I will chat back when I finish but want' to drop in to say thank you.
A co-worker just loaned me Life of Pi, so I'll be reading that soon. I love the title of this one, and hope you enjoy it!
Luke holds her hand. She bends to kiss his face. The noises around me are nebulous now. Into the dusk the three forms move, merging wtih others wandering at this hour. Soon they are lost, and I too turn away. An Equal Music by Vikram Seth
No more snow - I am ready for spring. I commented on an earlier post, but I ran out to buy Very Valentine when I read your blog. Put me in the running for the give away please.
I would love to win a copy. Your blog made me go out to the store this past weekend and buy Very Valentine. I can't wait to start reading it.
What a wonderful teaser!
I'd love for a chance to win this book!

Don't enter me because I like to read series in order, but I do love that teaser, and the cover too.
It was snowing in London yesterday - just a few flakes though, so no magical effect!
Great teaser, and thanks for visiting my blog!
I think that there would be many good books/movies that book clubs could compare/discuss that would be very entertaining. Some examples are "Gone With the Wind", "The Kite Runner", "Little Women" and even "Lovely Bones".
Our book club read "The Gravedigger's Daughter" and many found the language to be too much for them to continue reading it. Sometimes the use of bad language is really what the character calls for to fully depict who her or she was or how he or she would really have spoken but sometimes it does seem to be that it doesn't really add anything to the book or character.
