Excellent teaser! I'm so sososososo jealous you've got this ARC! :)
I'd be embarrased to fail anger-management class but if I was laughing than it might not be as bad. :D I do like how this teaser reflects both personalities as they come together so well. Nice pick!
Oh I love it! What a funny teaser :)
Here's my Tuesday Teaser
I really want to read this one!
Nice teaser,
Natalie :0)
Yay! Thanks for posting this list! I loved The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake so I'm so excited to see it on the list. And I have Safe From the Sea in my review pile so now I'm really looking forward to it. Thanks for sharing!
That's really funny - hopefully it won't be a real conversation in the future!
Thank you Barbara! Interesting book club discussion is on the menu!
this one sounds adorable. I think I'll have to pick it up for my niece.
That is CUTE! And it totally sounds like something I'd love reading to my kids! Thanks!
Oh, and thanks for visiting Proud Book Nerd! :-)
Huahahaha a very funny teaser. I love it
I loved this one!! The monkey is hilarious! :D I bet it gets kinda a boring going "No, it's a book." for ten times in a row... Poor monkey.
I bet that your grandchildren enjoy the book. It does seem like everything is going online these days.
Thanks for visiting me.
I wonder if there ARE children who know how to read a webpage before they've turned their first book page?
Aww, how sweet! It does make you wonder how the little ones view technology...
oh wow what a teaser that is! this book sounds like it could be from just about any suburban neighborhood from around the world. we've all had moments when we've looked at someone else's child, whether a neighbor, a person in the grocery store or a restaurant and thought 'that child just needs some discipline;' - perhaps not a slap, i don't know yet the circumstances behind the slap but oh gosh i'd love to win this book and share it with my book club and blog friends and readers! thank you for sharing such a fantastic read with us!
Sounds very thought provoking. I hadn't heard of it before. I agree that it seems fitting for a group to read. Thanks for visiting my teaser yesterday!
I want to read this one but agree sounds like a great debate discussion for a book club. Another blogger wrote a review on it today.
I've picked up a couple of books from the long-list for my book pile, but didn't quite fancy The Slap.
Your teaser has changed my mind. It sounds interesting.
My teaser here: Time Traveler's Wife
Who in this world hasn't wanted to discipline someone else's child? My grandmother used to tell me how her whole neighborhood would discipline each others children or at the very least tell her parents if she was misbehaving. Teachers today are afraid to hug a student for dear of being accused of something.
I could go on but agree this sure would make for a great book club discussion.

This book sounds like a book that I would hate, and that would make me mad, and, therefore, it would be an excellent book for a group discussion.
'I was born on the second day of Jewish New Year. When I discovered that Yaffa, the third daughter of our Syrian neighbors, was born during Hanukkah, I assumed that children were born on holy days - as a special gift from God. When I realized that my sister, who is older than me by one year and eight months, was born in January and I could find no holy day in her vicinity, I became very worried and afraid that she was damaged.'

That is a great teaser and I would love to enter the giveaway. You already saw mine. Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog!
Just a couple of days after the 50th anniversary of 'To Kill a Mockingbird' here I am writing about the indelible impact it made on me after I first read the book when I was in high school. Of course, it’s relevant today. The book is about growing up, coming to terms with the world around you, and in the process, putting a couple of lessons in your pockets. To me, the book is an expression of my faith in all the good things in life – love, compassion, understanding, and above, all, belief in yourself, in spite of the odds against you. That takes courage–real courage to go against the current. That’s the kind of courage Atticus Finch showed and that’s precisely the reason why he’s become one of the most popular characters in all of literature. I did see the movie and thought it did justice to the book. Gregory Peck, as Finch, was one of his most memorable roles of his career. I recently re-read the book for my English class and wanted to get various perspectives of it. Shmoop’s take on it was great!
That does sounds cute! Thanks for visiting Pudgy Penguin Perusals and leaving your link. No need to enter me for The Room. Have a great week!
Cute Teaser!
