2010 Man Booker Longlist Announced!

Booker PrizeThe Man Booker Award for Fiction, first awarded in 1969, promotes the finest in fiction by rewarding the very best book of the year. Any full-length novel, written by a citizen of the Commonwealth, the Republic of Ireland or Zimbabwe is eligible.

try to read the Man Booker award winner every year. Some years, I don't get around to it. The Booker award-winners that I read are The White Tiger, The Gathering, The Inheritance of Loss, The Life of Pi, Disgrace, The Blind Assassin, Amsterdam, The God of Small Things, Last Orders, Sacred Hunger, The English Patient, Possession, The Remains of the Day. Not that bad!

The 2010 shortlist will be announced on September  7. The winner of the Man Booker Prize for Fiction 2010 will be announcedOctober 12 .

The winner of the Man Booker Prize for Fiction will receive £50,000.(approx. $77,000)
